The Ste. Genevieve Dragons softball team aims for a district championship after a strong showing last season, finishing with a 16-12 record, a perfect 7-0 in conference play, and a conference tournament victory. In district competition, they defeated Arcadia Valley 15-0 but fell to a tough Central team 15-7. Coach Keim stated, "This year's team is capable of winning a district championship."

Coach Keim, with over 16 years of coaching experience, finds joy in staying connected to the game and sharing her passion with others. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes guidance, positivity, and fun, focusing on building players' confidence and fostering a supportive, low-pressure environment.

This year's senior class includes Ava Huber, Ava Greer, Chloe Staffen, Alyssa Cook, Autumn Werner, and Mariah Abt. Returning juniors Bri Plaff, Alyssa Wehner, and Linley Wehner to bolster the team's experience.

So far this season, the Dragons have a mixed record, going 1-3 on the road and 3-1 at home. They are undefeated in conference play, with a 2-0 record. In their latest contest, the Dragons triumphed over crosstown rival Valle Catholic with a decisive 10-0 victory, highlighted by Ava Greer's no-hitter. The Lady Dragons look to continue improving as they progress through the season.
